The Flagstaff Oktoberfest will soon be opening its gates on the 8th Annual Festival and everyone is invited! Starting at 11 am on Saturday October 1st, the Flagstaff Oktoberfest will once again take over Wheeler Park in a fun filled family celebration.
People always ask when is the best time to come to the festival and the answer is whenever you’d like! All day long we’ll have great music, cold beer and cider, yummy wines, great festival eats, and arts and craft booths full of treasures you can’t live without. So, it doesn’t matter when you arrive, unless you want to enter one of our numerous contests. Can you yodel? There’s a contest for that, do you love costumes? We’ve got a family costume contest and then later in the day an adult costume contest. Can you eat your weight in brats? Well, Satchmos will once again be the sponsor for the Brat Eating Contest. Are you one buff beauty or a guy who can hold a full beer stein? We’ve got men’s and women’s beer stein holding contests. Maybe you’re tiny in stature and want to set a world record – then make sure you contact Findlay Volkswagen and sign up for the Stuff the Bug contest – last year we were 3 short of the world record of 25! Hey – do you just love winter and everything cold? Then make sure you sign up for the Arizona Snowbowl frozen T-shirt contest! So, you see folks, with all the fun and excitement happening at the 8th Annual Flagstaff Oktoberfest – it doesn’t matter what time you show up – only that you SHOW UP!
