When Mom and Jen first told us we were going to be planning a bowling party for all of us, I was really excited because I thought it was a great opportunity for us to impress them and show them what we can do! The interns all got together one afternoon and planned the whole thing out. We chose the date we wanted, what we wanted to do at the bowling party, what we were going to use the money for, etc. We ended up deciding to not do a theme because we wanted it to be more casual and we wanted to make it a competition! We separated us all up into two different teams, assigned each team a color and chose what the competition would be. Then we assigned what each of us interns would be doing. I was going to be creating an evite and sending it to everyone with all of the important information in it. Some of the other jobs were organizing part of the competition, getting the prizes, etc. On the day of the bowling party, we arrived at the bowling alley and split up into our teams. Each team was wearing a specific color, and I was on the blue team! For the competition, there was going to be a team competition, and an individual competition. For the team, it was obviously, whichever team had the most points. For the individual competition, we were going to be playing bowling bingo. We each got our bingo sheet, which had things like strike, spare, 7/10 split, etc. Whoever had the most squares marked at the end of the three games, won a Starbucks gift card! The team that lost had to bring snacks to the next meeting! Technically, our team lost, based on the amount of points total at the end of all three games. BUT, we did win two out of the three games. Planning this bowling party was a lot of fun, because we had a lot of freedom to do what we wanted. The actual bowling party was a lot of fun also, because we got to all spend time together without having to do anything business related. I would definitely want to do it again!
