Going into Oktoberfest I have to admit I was a little terrified because I have never done an event that was this big or that was this extreme. I knew that Oktoberfest was an event that was important to Peak Events and I wanted to be my best to make sure the event was perfect.
This event was probably the most stressful yet fun day of my life. I enjoyed every part of this event from set up, to the day of the event, to clean up. On the day of the event I was at the volunteer table, where I checked people in and made sure that they got to the right location. Also, I made sure that everyone was fed throughout the day. The funniest part was probably seeing the amount of people who fought to be in the beer stein costume. I enjoyed working at the volunteer booth and I felt that it was a good intro position to ease myself into the event world. The only part that I didn’t like was by being in the front I didn’t get to see what was going on during the event. I look forward to moving to different locations and being able to grasp all I can about the event industry.
I can’t wait for the next event that Peak Events does and I can’t wait for Oktoberfest next year!
