Who doesn’t love going to the beach! Especially when it is spring break! I got the pleasure in joining my friend Abbey who is from California and got to spend a week with her and her family. My other friend Cassandra also joined us. It ended up being such an amazing girl’s trip. It all started at 6 in the morning when we decided to leave to California from Arizona. You may be asking “why in the world would you want to leave that early?” I thought the same way but then my friend Abbey mentioned that if we left earlier we would have more of a day once we arrived in the good ol’ CA. As much I hated getting up so early, getting there around noon in California was quite nice and actually had a full day to enjoy the sunshine. We left on St. Patrick’s Day so once dinner rolled around we got to enjoy some authentic Irish food, cabbage pockets, and corn beef, um yum! Once dinner was completed we sat around a bon fire and listened to Irish music and laughed away into the night. The next couple days we took a day trip to the beach, Laguna Beach and San Clemente. Let me just tell you the weather, water, and the surf was perfect that day! My wonderful friend Abbey is photography major and gladly accepted to take some of my senior pictures on the beach. I’ve always wanted my photo taken on the beach, and it was the perfect day to do it. After pictures we sat in the warm sand and watch all the surfers hang loose on the waves. On our final days in California that Friday we headed down to Pasadena. My friend Abbey’s brother and wife live there and we got to explore and shop in downtown Pasadena. We also visited the Norton Simon Museum, if you ever get a chance to visit Pasadena, make sure and visit this museum. We then all headed out to eat dinner at this amazing delicious restaurant called La Grande Orange. I highly recommend it, their swordfish tacos are amazing! After such a wonderful week in California, unfortunately all good things had to come to an end. We headed back home to Arizona on that Saturday. I was so thankful for that trip, not only did I need a break from all the stress that is in my life, school, work, and etc., it was also great for my friends that I went with. It was nice that we all could get away for the week and get to enjoy each other’s company. It was a spring break that I will never forget.
