Being my first event, I had no idea what to expect. I came in knowing very little about event planning. Luckily, Jen and Deb were there to help me along to learn exactly what I need to do to help make this event happen. The day of setup was hot and long, but so worth it at the end of the day when the driving range had completely transformed. The day of the event was so exciting! People began lining up at 10:00 a.m in anticipation for the cool Blues and cold Brews waiting for them. Doors opened and people started setting up for their day of music and fun. With plenty of sunblock, lots of water to drink and good food to eat, the first band kicked off the entertainment. People were moving, grooving and boozing and having an awesome time with their family and friends.
Throughout the day, I was running around in all the excitement; capturing moments and videos to share with our fans that couldn’t be there, helping in different areas when we needed runners for ice and water, and any other small task in between. The endless moving-over 18 miles that day-kept me going like the energizer bunny and I questioned why I hadn’t been doing events like this before! It was great helping put together this event that allowed families and friends to get outside, enjoying the weather and each others’ company. My feet and legs were dead tired the next day, but it was all such a great experience that taught me so much about events, but I know I have a lot to learn still! Watching this unfold from start to finish was incredible and I am excited to continue learning with this amazing team!
