Over spring break I got to go to my very first wedding ever. The only other previous wedding experience that I had was when Peak Events worked a wedding in November. It was a great way to compare different wedding styles and to see how each one was planned! It is a very different experience being in the behind the scenes part of a wedding, and just simply being a guest at one. I almost liked being behind the scenes a little better! I enjoyed getting to watch the pre-pictures that the bridal party took, and getting to see the “first look” that the couple did. I was very disappointed when I learned that as a guest, you don’t get to see those parts at all. The bright side of being a guest was that you got to experience the whole thing with no responsibilities. I loved being able to hear the vows, dance with the bride, and having an open bar was also a bonus. 🙂 I’m so glad that I have now experience working a wedding, as well as being a guest at one. Next up: the life of a bridesmaid in my friend’s upcoming wedding. I can’t wait to see what that experience is like!
