I moved around a lot as a kid, and I always lived in a bunch of different small towns. Before college, I ended up in Prescott, which is a very small town. I always knew that I preferred bigger cities to smaller towns, but I still decided to go to NAU, which is still in a small town. I just told myself that I would move to a big city after college, which I do still plan to do. But once I moved to Flagstaff, I discovered that I like smaller towns a whole lot more than I thought I did. My favorite thing about Flagstaff is downtown. This is probably a pretty generic answer to that question, but it really is my favorite. I love downtown because it is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen. I could walk around downtown for hours, just looking at the buildings, and the people, and the just soaking in the magic of Flagstaff. I think that I like downtown so much because it reminds me a lot of what I love about big cities; the architecture, the random artwork on the sides of walls, the unique and strange and intriguing people that are wandering around there… Flagstaff is like a big city within a small town, and there is nowhere else that I would rather spend four years of my life in… (Despite the lack of Trader Joe’s or In & Out!)
