Since graduating college, I didn’t have a winter break this year. Although I had to stay in Flagstaff and work all “break”, I was fortunate enough to be able to go home the weekend of Christmas! I was so happy to be able to spend time with my family, I don’t get to see them very often since home is a 12 hour drive (or 2 flights) away. Spending the weekend at home was fantastic! My aunt and uncle, cousins and grandpa all spent Christmas Eve at my house. My mom cooked a fantastic meal of clams, spaghetti with anchovie sauce (don’t knock it till you try it), lasagna, and cannolis and pie for dessert. Yes that’s right, we had a four course meal. I guess that’s a perk of being Italian? For Christmas Day dinner, we had roast beef and mashed potatoes. And definitely more food and dessert that I cannot remember. It was definitely a weekend full of love and food to remember!
