Happy Holidays!
The Peak Events Team has been busy! 3 of our interns are busy with finals week and happy that winter vacation is almost here! Elizabeth (who has graduated) is busy with work and saving money for her Europe Trip in the summer!
As for Mom and I… well after the wedding we didn’t slow down one bit. My mom landed us two new jobs! The first is the Winter Wonderland event in Phoenix this Friday! And the second is a conference with NAU in Fall of 2016. We are thrilled!
While the wedding went extremely well, we are not back in the wedding business. We love weddings and brides but we don’t like to plan them. I will say that my mom is an ordained minister, so if you need someone to marry you she is your gal!
Then we sat down with our local CVB because we thought they just needed some ideas and we would be helpful. So after our long conversation and ideas, and excitement, we were hired to organize this Winter Wonderland event in Phoenix. The governor of Arizona recently declared Flagstaff the official Winter Wonderland of the state. So to celebrate the City of Flagstaff and some of their partners like Flagstaff Extreme, Arizona Snowbowl, Lowell Observatory and more are heading to Phoenix to show Phoenicians what winter wonderland is all about! We’ll have a snow globe you can get inside and have your photo taken, Ice Carving, Tundra Snowboarding for the kids and so much more! So join us Friday December 11th from 4 to 8 pm on 3rd Street in Downtown Phoenix.
We are also busy planning the 4th Annual Blues Festival in June… venue confirmation, sponsorship’s, bands, etc. This year’s event will be here before we know it! So along with finding new talent for this year, we are looking to update/upgrade our website. So look for fun things in the new year!
The Flagstaff Oktoberfest will be 8 in 2016! WOW – time really does fly by! Again we are looking at sponsors, bands, and ways we can improve for our 8th year!
We are excited that the Star Party wants us back in 2016 as well! We will start planning that event in January – have to see when the stars line up to determine those dates!
And then the NAU Conference I was referencing… We have done many events for NAU in the past, so we are excited to be working with them again. More details on this NEW conference will be coming out in the next few months.
So even though we have a lot of events coming up in 2016, we are NOT too busy to help you! That’s right… did you know we do consulting?
