Well as some of you might have seen from our Facebook Page, we recently helped coordinate a wedding. And yes we make it clear we don’t plan weddings… but this was a friend of mine so I couldn’t say no.
Emily and Chris got engaged while vacating in Italy. I know… pretty romantic! So this was the starting point for the wedding. Emily knew she wanted to get married in Sedona… so the search for a location started. She wasn’t impressed with the regular spots. Luckily my aunt who is a photographer in Sedona mentioned a location to her… Rancho Los Lagos. And wow! It was stunning. It’s private property and they just recently started renting it out for weddings. A large piece of land covered in grass, tall trees and a man made lake. They even have power and lights for your rentals. So Emily sent them a deposit and signed the contract!
Well with that we knew we had to get rentals… so I went to the best, Classic Party Rentals out of Phoenix. Professional, great stuff and reasonable prices. So we got the tent, tables, chairs, Chandeliers, plates, silverware, glasses, wine barrel bar, and so much more.
Then we needed stuff like a photographer, videographer, DJ, Wedding cake, Caterer, Officiant (which Peak Events does have and will do that part of the wedding), bartenders, Hair and Makeup, hotel rooms, etc.
With that we were off… I must say that this wedding went SO smoothly! Set up on Friday was great, the rehearsal was even better. Saturday morning it had finally warmed up and the wedding was fabulous. Almost on time and everyone had a great time. The tent looked amazing, people ate great food, and danced the night away.
Now, while Peak Events doesn’t plan weddings anymore you should ALWAYS get a wedding planner. They just make YOUR life easier… that is our goal! You should enjoy your day and not worry about the little things.
