And suddenly it’s spring, and I’m in a panic! How do you tackle a to do list that is ridiculously long? Where do you start? Between festival work, garden work, spring cleaning, spring lake trips and wanting to do remodel projects on the house – it’s always a frantic time. But this blog is about the festival, so I’ve got to try and focus!
Flagstaff Blues and Brews is coming up in 2 ½ months! Seriously! I am still finalizing vendors, sponsors and breweries. Jen refuses to put in any of the breweries until we get their paperwork. Which means we can only advertise Mudshark out of Lake Havasu. I also know that Mother Road Brewery and Wanderlust will be there, but I’m not allowed to actually put it on anything other than my musings. I have spoken to others, and we will have 10 breweries if I have to call out the amateurs. Wait – why can’t we let ANYONE come in with their brews. I mean the only condition was that there isn’t any distributors – I don’t want a bunch of distributors serving beer – I can just buy a few cases for that kind of tasting. So, I’m going to put it out there. If you are a seriously pretty amazing home brewer, then I want you to come and play with us. I’m asking the Breweries to bring 2 flavors – a ¼ barrel each, so home brewers only need to bring one, but I’m asking for 7 gallons. If you’ve got the beer – we have the space. Go to FlagstaffBlues.com and email us. We’ll send you a packet and we will select on a first come first serve basis.
Make sure you spread the word – lets make this tasting unique and fun!
