And summer has arrived! Sunday we had snow on the SF peaks and now its 82 degrees! I was complaining on Facebook about how hot it was in my office, when our intern who works down in Phoenix posted the temperature down there! OH MY – I guess 82 degrees isn’t bad when it’s 108 in Phoenix! And there you have it. The number one reason why Flagstaff is so popular in the summer – our temperatures are amazing, and all the cold and snow we had all winter seems to drift off into never never land for those few amazing summer months.
Of course, to avoid writing I immediately began to research the normal temperatures for June 21st – Summer Solstice. Well, the average for Phoenix is 102 degrees and for Flagstaff it’s 81 degrees. Where would YOU rather be? Sitting inside watching some dumb TV show while the pavement melts outside your house, or in Flagstaff sitting on grass, tasting beer at the microbrew tasting and listening to some amazingly hot Blues? I know – it’s a no brainer, so what are you waiting for? A personal invitation? Well, here it is – I personally invite you to the Flagstaff Blues and Brews on June 21st. I promise you it will be a great time and you’ll have fun, or……. Or well, you’re just beyond hope!
