I just planned out my fall’s conference schedule. Being a member of so many organizations, I receive annual conference invitations filled with everything I want to learn! Of course, my business partner looks at me and immediately points out that we can only afford 2 conferences a year, but I still like to look at the materials and dream about a new location, new classes, new ideas to try – but Jen always points out the obvious – If I had the money, I’d probably be a full time conference attendee.
Conferences are fun, they recharge your passion and they give you new ways of looking at the same old stuff. I love conferences because I love learning, and every conference I attend, I get new ideas on how to market Northern Arizona. I’ve really been looking into Destination Management, apparently, there is a formal name for what we’ve been doing for years. I’m a fifth generation Arizonan, and I love my state. I’ve had the privilege of being born to parents who loved to explore and I’ve seen this state from north to south and east to west. Northern Arizona destination management is really a piece of cake from my point of view. We have so many interesting sites to see, so many fun attractions to check out and the beauty of this state is spectacular. I love planning trips for people who have never been to Arizona or at least to Northern Arizona. Through destination management, we can help plan those side trips for families, spouses and conference attendees and when we’re done, they will love our state as much as we do.
