I just attended a beautiful wedding this weekend, I’ve known the bride since she was born, and have known her parents since college. I was talking with so many great friends that had come in from out of town and the subject turned to what I do for a living. When I try and describe everything we do at Peak Events, people look at me like we’re a tad crazy. Everyone comprehends weddings, everyone understands festivals, but when I try and explain to them that one of the areas that keeps us very busy is conferences, people look at me perplexed, and sort of nod. Apparently, organizing a wedding for 200 is easy, producing a festival for 10,000 people is a piece of cake, but conference management blows their minds! I personally have been working on conferences for over 20 years. Before I decided to go into event management for a living, I was managing conferences for NACOG, NAU and more. Conference Management is an area that I think is under appreciated, and mostly because people don’t realize just what it entails.
Peak Events can help with any size conference and in any capacity. We have sat down and helped write the proposals for conferences, worked on the travel end, the speaker side, the logistics, sponsorships, hospitality and programming. We are also very involved with the destination portion of conferences. Flagstaff is a great conference destination for so many reasons, and we can help plan those side trips, the before and after perks that so many people use when attending a conference. Conference management is so much more than just handing out a program and a name tag, and Peak Events is here with ideas and staff to make your next conference, THE conference to attend.
