What a great day!    I mean seriously, how much more fun can life get than talking to bands that are going to play at the festival???    2014 is shaping up to be such a great year for the Flagstaff Blues and Brews.   Only in year 2 and we’ve signed 3 bands that will have records (or I guess cds) dropping within days of the festival!   I should have known all the stars would align when we scheduled the festival for Summer Solstice!   The longest day of the year and we’re going to fill it with the sweet sounds of the Blues.

I’m not allowed to actually name the bands that are playing, but we know we’ve got a couple of local bands that you haven’t heard much, a Phoenix band that a lot of people have heard of or at least the legends that are playing, a young band that is up and coming and I think you’ll hear and won’t forget and then two legends that will knock your socks off!    Not that you should be wearing socks on Summer Solstice – after all, you’ll be in the nice soft grass of Continental Country Club and it’s the perfect place to kick off your shoes and enjoy the warm weather.

Tickets go on sale soon! Be sure to get your tickets early – I’d like to say because we might sell out – well, we could.   But if you get them early –then I don’t panic and immediately reach the conclusion no one loves me.   Not to mention it will get you in the habit for those days to come when we DO sell out!   We’ve started signing some fun vendors and we did listen to your concerns.   The stage – while keeping the sound away from the golf course also burned the retina of our patrons – we moved the stage.   The kid’s area will stay open from 11 am – 7 pm.   That way, if you leave the festival grounds and come back – the wristband will still be good.   Porta Potties – come to find out – you can place them in multiple places and we plan to do just that!   We realize it was quite the hike and we apologize for that one (right up there with the burning retinas).   We’re working on other changes and will keep you posted.

Thank you for your support in these early years, we take all your suggestions to heart and try harder than you know to make this the best festival in Flagstaff!
